Three Elderly People

Living in Adur, people may be aware of the Brighton & Hove Older People’s Council, just across the County border. This is an elected body, but there are many forums around the country which highlight issues of concern to older residents, provide information and support, and act as a conduit for consultation and communication with their local councils. Usually a forum will produce a regular newsletter and hold social events and activities.

Three Older People’s Reference Groups were established in November 2008 - one in Shoreham, one in Southwick and one in Lancing. In June 2009, these groups were renamed Adur Senior Forum. The Forums are supported by the Network Coordinators and meetings take place at venues across the district with transport provided if needed.

If you are interested in participating in Adur Senior Forum and sharing your views on issues of concern to older people, please get in touch with the Network Coordinators.
