Fundraising

Gentleman SmilingIt’s possible to support the work of older people’s voluntary groups in Adur in many different ways. If you can give your time, please take a look at our community engagement and volunteering sections. If not, please consider the following.

Business support

Do you run a business in Adur? The Adur Older Peoples' Network is keen to forge greater links between the local business community and service providers in the voluntary sector, for mutual benefit.

The AOPN has its own Business Development Officer who works with local voluntary organisations to develop business plans and revenue streams which offer them sustainable, long-term futures. Part of that work includes building relationships between, and linking the resources of, Adur’s commercial and voluntary sectors in order to build service capacity which will benefit older residents in the district.

For more information, please contact David Griffiths.

Support Adur’s charity shops!

Don’t forget the important role charity shops play. You can donate unwanted good condition clothing, books, toys and bric-a-brac to shops which directly support older people’s services in the town.

A one-off gift

If you are in a position to make a cash donation, there are many groups in the town which rely on such sums to keep their services going.

Please speak to our Community Fundraiser who will advise you of local groups that could put your generous donation to maximum benefit of local elderly people.
