AOPN Coordinators
Val Garland and Pam Simons share the role of Network Coordinator for the Adur district.
Val has worked with a number of different local organisations that support older people and encourage volunteering. She always looks forward to being involved in the older people´s forum in Adur.
Pam has worked with older people in the Adur community for the last 14 years, and has a prior background in secondary and further education. She still teaches genealogy classes locally.
As Neighbourhood Network Coordinators, we organise and develop the Adur Older Persons’ Network, bringing together local groups and organisations that provide services for older people. We work with these organisations to discover and overcome any gaps in services, identifying needs and developing local neighbourhood responses.
